Ing. Ján Horváth is the Member of the Board of Directors and Director of the Safety Division at the JAVYS, a. s. Company.

He was born in 1964 in Smolenice. He graduated from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology, department of Technology of inorganic production. After completing his studies, during 1988 – 1989 he worked in the company Chemolak Smolenice as technologist of paints manufacturing.

In 1990 he changed his employment and entered the company TESLA Piešťany, where he worked in a position of the Chief Technologist of semiconductor parts manufacturing and he was responsible for the management of technological conditions and inspection of technical parameters of the products of manufacturing of semiconductor diodes, transistors and thyristors. In 1993 he entered the company Slovenské elektrárne, a. s., Bratislava, o. z. VYZ Jaslovské Bohunice as a technician of special measurements, later as the Head of Chemical Regimes Department and since 1999 as a Deputy Director for Technical Support and Safety.

After privatisation of Slovenské elektrárne in 2006 he entered the company JAVYS, a.s. within the delimitation where he stayed up to this day. In Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. he held several positions. At first as a Safety Division Director, in the period of 2010 – 2011 also as a Member of the Board of Directors and during 2011 – 2012 as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the company JAVYS, a. s.

Currently he is a member of the Board of Directors and as the Safety Division Director he is responsible for the management and performance of activities related to nuclear, classic and fire safety, radiation protection and control of chemical regimes, environmental protection, emergency and crisis planning, defence and protection during the decommissioning of nuclear facilities, storage, processing, treatment and disposal of radioactive waste and management of spent nuclear fuel.

He is a holder of licence for acquaintance with classified information to security level “SECRET“, issued by National Security Authority of the SR pursuant to the Act No. 215/2004 Coll. and holder of certificate on a special professional competency pursuant to the Act No. 541/2004 Coll. § 24, par. 1 for leading employees in nuclear energy industry, holder of a licence V. e category of the licence holder for nuclear facilities V1 NPP, Technologies for Treatment and Conditioning of RAW, ISFS, National Radioactive Waste Repository, Final Processing of Liquid RAW and A1 NPP and certificate on completion of specialized training Basics of operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
