In the first three quarters of 2017, operation of nuclear facilities of company JAVYS, a. s. was safe and reliable, without any operational events, registered work-related accidents and with very low discharges into environment.

Report on safety of operation of nuclear facilities of company JAVYS, a. s. for the first nine months of the year 2017 was prepared on the basis of the outcomes from assessment of the operational safety indicators established in line with requirements of the documents MAAE TECDOC-1141 and IAEA No. NW-T-2.1, adapted to the actual situation at individual nuclear facilities of company JAVYS, a. s.

It is obvious from the reported conclusions that the nuclear facility operation was safe and reliable in the first three quarters of 2017 and summary assessment of the operational safety indicators sets for individual nuclear facilities was “very good”. The report says that no operational events were observed at none of the nuclear facilities (A1 NPP, Facility for Treatment and Conditioning of Radioactive Waste, Interim Spent Fuel Storage, Final Liquid Radwaste Treatment Facility and National Radwaste Repository) during the first nine months.
No human factor in the reported period contributed to the operational event and no work-related accident was registered. The report also says that no limits and conditions of safe operation and nuclear facility decommissioning were violated and discharges into environment remained at very low levels.

From the long-term point of view, the results achieved reflect the attention the company´s top management has paid to observing the nuclear safety, and therefore it is not necessary to adopt any corrective measures in connection with safe operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities.

Compared to results of the safety assessments from other nuclear facilities in Europe, the results are comparable and confirm the high quality of works performed by the operating personnel and management.
