In the first half of 2018, company JAVYS, a. s., recycled more than 826 tonnes of secondary raw materials within the decommissioning process of the A1 and V1 nuclear power plants.

In the process of A1 and V1 NPP decommissioning, our company returned 826 tonnes of secondary raw materials into the process of recycling in the first half of 2018. Recycling of the highest possible quantities of materials, minimizing the waste production and environment protection is one of the crucial objectives of company JAVYS, a. s.
In the first half of 2018, iron-based materials – more than 801 tonnes – represented the biggest volume in the total volume of secondary raw materials.
Funds obtained by company JAVYS, a.s. from the process of recycling were repeatedly invested in the process of nuclear facilities decommissioning, which resulted in saving of funds from the state budget and in case of V1 NPP decommissioning also in saving of the EBRD´s funds.

Wastes that are potentially hazardous to one of the elements of environment are temporarily stored in technologically secured areas in order to avoid their negative impacts on the surrounding environment, potential endangering the life and health of people, property and the environment. Those wastes that can be returned to the recycling process are recycled by company JAVYS, a.s.
