DescriptionObjectives: to erect a new Interim Storage of RAW at the Bohunice site for the Employer according to this technical specification, which determines the technical requirements for the erection of the new nuclear installation, the IS RAW.
The built-up area of the IS RAW will be approximately 4119 m2, out of which the storage capacity of the IS RAW is approximately 3224 m2 (2 storage modules) and the area for the auxiliary operations annex building is 895 m2. The finished building IS RAW shall be designed and erected in such a way so as to enable the adding of two more modules (III and IV) without particularly difficult modifications of storage modules I and II.
The total activity of the stored RAW is estimated to a maximum of 1x1018 Bq.
Freely placed large components with surface contamination below 0,3 Bq/cm2 at external surface and RAW in various types of waste packages will be stored in the storage facility (fibre concrete containers with the dimensions 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.7 m, shielded containers – weight approximately 50-120 tons, 20’ ISO containers disposed in 2 layers, MEVA drums)
