Description

The Goals of the C7-A4 project are:

the provision of a workplace including facilities on the Bohunice site for melting of metallic material coming from A1 NPP and V1 NPP decommissioning, which will complete the existing complex of technologies for treatment and conditioning of radioactive waste (nuclear facility RWTC) by RAW handling method. Completed melting technology will enable releasing a considerable quantity of metal waste. For ingots exceeding limits for releasing, the benefit of remelting will rest in achieving material decontamination and the minimization of the RAW volume, saving capacity of the RAW repository in Mochovce.
