Description

Objectives: the pre-dismantling decontamination, dismantling and fragmentation, sorting and packaging, handling and transportation, of components and systems located in the controlled area (outside the hermetic zone boundaries) that are not essential for further activities during Decommissioning Stage 2 (Group B systems), as well as all other related activities as described in detail in section 2 of this Technical Specification.
In particular, this Project includes the handling of contaminated materials from the decommissioning process within the V1 NPP controlled area; as well as (i) transportation of radioactive and hazardous contaminated materials within the controlled area, and (ii)  transportation of conventional and hazardous materials within the Employer site.
Radiological control and monitoring of decommissioned materials and work places will be under Employer responsibility although the Contractor shall support it.
Main works related with this Project will be developed mainly in following civil buildings:
• 800:V1 V1 NPP Reactor building
• 801:V1 V1 NPP Auxiliary building
• 801a:V1 V1 NPP Auxiliary building - extension
• 804:V1 V1 NPP Interconnecting bridge 800-801
Minor works shall be developed also in other buildings mainly due to the development of Tag-out activities.
