In 2018, company JAVYS, a. s., recycled more than 1,246 tonnes of secondary raw materials within the decommissioning process of the A1 and V1 nuclear power plants.

In the A1 and V1 NPP decommissioning process, our company returned 1,246.438 tonnes of secondary raw materials into the process of recycling in 2018. Recycling of the highest possible quantities of materials, minimizing the waste production and environment protection belong to the most crucial objectives of company JAVYS, a. s.

In 2018, iron materials – almost 1,160.59 tonnes – represented the biggest volume in the total volume of secondary raw materials. Raw material with the second highest volume, which was returned back to the recycling process, was copper with a volume of 26.98 tonnes.

Funds obtained by company JAVYS, a.s. from the recycling activities were repeatedly invested in the process of nuclear facilities decommissioning, which resulted in saving of funds from the state budget and in case of V1 NPP decommissioning also in saving of the EBRD´s funds.
