National Agency-SIEA

On the basis of development and experience resulting from the cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and development, the Slovak Republic initiated at the end of 2013 the creation of the so-called national path of financing the V1 NPP decommissioning from the European funds. This process was successfully accomplished on 10th August 2016 by signing the Delegation Agreement between the European Commission and the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA), that will implement the national channel of the V1 NPP decommissioning from the budget of the European Union (EU). This way it supplemented the European financing of the V1 decommissioning support from the EU funds of the BIDSF Fund administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Implementation of projects through SIEA is managed by a manual called „Implementation system of the Bohunice Programme “. Large part of the procedures for the management of the projects is based on the European Commission Implementing Decision C(2014)5449 on rules of application for the nuclear decommissioning assistance programmes in Bulgaria, Lithuania and Slovakia for the period of years 2014 – 2020 from 7th August 2014.
