In the first half of 2020, company JAVYS, a. s., recycled more than 3,600 tonnes of secondary raw materials within the decommissioning process of the A1 and V1 nuclear power plants.

Within the A1 and V1 NPP decommissioning process, our company returned 3,659 tonnes of secondary raw materials into the process of recycling in the first half of 2020. Up to 2,560 tonnes of metal reinforcement of concrete structures represented the biggest volume in the total volume of secondary raw materials. Raw material with the second highest volume, which was returned back to the recycling process, was the stainless steel with a volume of 123.74 tonnes. Recycling of the highest possible quantities of materials, minimization of waste production and environment protection belong to crucial objectives of company JAVYS, a. s. Funds obtained by company JAVYS, a.s. from the recycling activities are repeatedly invested in the process of nuclear facilities decommissioning, resulting in saving of funds from the National Nuclear Fund (NNF) or the state budget.
