At the site of the company JAVYS, a.s in Jaslovské Bohunice locality a planned wide-area emergency exercise „TIS 2014“ was held. Its aim was to test the readiness of professional sections of the Emergency response organisation in case of an emergency.
This year´s exercise simulated event of 2nd degree in nuclear facility Interim Spent Fuel Storage. Specifically, the release of the radioactive materials during manipulation with spent nuclear fuel was stimulated. The exercise also involved relocation of the employees to the shelters and test of internal warning system of JAVYS, a.s.

As in previous years, the exercise confirmed readiness of all the sections for emergency situation and it was positively rated by the present inspectors of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic.
