420 pieces of fibre-concrete containers were transported and disposed of in the National Radwaste Repository in 2016.

     In 2016 company JAVYS, a. s. transported and then disposed of 420 pieces of fibre-concrete containers (FCCs) containing low-level radioactive waste in the National Radwaste Repository (NRR) of Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. Containers´ dimensions are 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.7 m and their wall is 0.1 m thick. Containers are placed into the disposal boxes arranged in rows and double-rows in the repository. The National Radwaste Repository is a multi-barrier repository of surface type intended for final disposal of solid and solidified low-level radioactive wastes produced during the operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities or in research institutes, laboratories and hospitals as institutional radioactive wastes (IRAW) and collected radioactive materials in the Slovak Republic. Since it has been put into operation, 4,804 pieces of fibre-concrete containers with radioactive waste were disposed of here. It is the final step in the process of management of these materials and their safe isolation from the environment.

In 2016 company JAVYS, a. s. also provided 9 collections of radioactive materials of unknown origin.

Company JAVYS, a. s. is also an organization authorized to manage the orphaned sources and radioactive wastes of unknown origin, which can be found e.g. in scrapyards, iron works or at the borders, i.e. collected radioactive materials. In 2016, company JAVYS, a. s. carried out 9 collections of radioactive materials of unknown origin, while these predominantly included various components of agricultural and military equipment. After their identification and documentation, collected radioactive materials are transported for further management in Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. Materials, which comply with limits for disposal in the National Radwaste Repository (NRR) are continuously processed and conditioned to safe form into the fibre-concrete containers and are then transported to the NRR for their final disposal.
