On the 9th of November, 2022, an employee of the Contractor, company VUJE, was injured at workplace in the premises of company JAVYS in Jaslovské Bohunice, in the building used by the Contractor for the performance of work.
An employee of company VUJE sustained a cutting injury to the thigh muscle on his right leg with bleeding during the performance of his work. It was not the case of exposure to ionizing radiation! The wound was only slightly superficially contaminated. Surface contamination did not threaten the health of the patient or the nursing staff. The wound was cleaned at the reception point in the Trnava hospital, where the patient was transported, as due to the nature of the injury it was not possible to perform decontamination at the workplace where the injury was sustained or at the medical centre in Jaslovské Bohunice.
Decontamination was carried out by employees of company JAVYS. This is a standard procedure, however, in the vast majority of such cases, decontamination is done at the JAVYS medical centre before subsequent treatment provided in the hospital. The Contractor is responsible for the Occupational Health & Safety at the specific workplace, where the accident occurred.
