Inspectors performed 50 inspections at JAVYS workplaces last year. They focused on nuclear safety and compliance with relevant regulations. No shortcomings were found.

After signing the Contract, company JAVYS, a. s., and Consortium Westinghouse exchanged the contract documents to the V1 NPP decommissioning project.

On the 21st of April 2023, a Croatian group with more than twenty members arrived at the National Radioactive Waste Repository (NRR) in Mochovce.

H.E. Csaba Balogh, Ambassador of Hungary to Slovakia, together with the Embassy staff, visited company JAVYS on 3 April 2025. The visitors were received by Peter Gerhart, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JAVYS, and Milan Bárdy, Director of V1 NPP Decommissioning and PMU Division.

In the presence of two-time Oscar winner, Director Oliver Stone, representatives of company JAVYS, a. s., with the participation of the Vice President of the Parliament, members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Slovak Nuclear Regulatory Authority and many distinguished guests, the premiere of the film Nuclear Now took place in Slovakia.

On Wednesday, the 12th of March 2025, a meeting with mayors from the Jaslovské Bohunice area took place in the beautiful premises of Malý Berlín (cultural centre “Little Berlin”) in Trnava.

Project Dismantling of Systems in V1 NPP Controlled Area – Part 2, which is financed from European Union budget will be implemented for the first time in history through the Slovak institution.

You can see eight, 120 metres tall cooling towers at the nuclear power plant in Jaslovské Bohunice for the last time this weekend. Dismantling of the first of four shutdown towers starts on Monday.

Slovakia, through its state-owned company Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť (hereinafter referred to as “JAVYS”), continued with decommissioning of two V1 nuclear power plant units in Jaslovské Bohunice.
