JAVYS and Westinghouse Electric Company LLC announced the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and thus created space for cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and in the implementation of projects aimed at the development of small modular reactors (SMR).

During the weekend company JAVYS, a. s., successfully completed one of the most complex operations of the V1 NPP decommissioning project, when it transported the reactor pressure vessel weighing more than 200 tons!

Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a. s. is engaged in activities aimed at decommissioning of nuclear installations and the management of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel.

As part of the D4.2 project "Dismantling of Reactor Coolant System Large Components", the last of a total of twelve main coolant pumps (MCP) installed in the V1 nuclear power plant was dismantled in the calendar week 25. The pumps belonged to the main pieces of the primary circuit equipment, ensuring the flow of coolant in the primary circuit.

Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s., (hereinafter referred to as “JAVYS”) has included a separate section dedicated to the so-called “stakeholders” in the programme of the international conference ECED 2019. The company has thereby emphasized the importance of communication with public representatives, which is paid great attention to.

The 5th JAVYS Supervisory Board meeting was held this year on the 23rd of May 2019 at the National Radwaste Repository (NRR) in Mochovce.

JAVYS, a.s., and NUCLECO S.p.A., signed a Memorandum of Understanding for radioactive waste treatment services in Bratislava, Slovakia.  This step constitutes  an important part in broadening activities of both companies abroad.

The Minister of Economy, Peter Dovhun, and the State Secretary, Branislav Sušila, met the top management representatives of JAVYS at the company's premises in Jaslovské Bohunice.

In October the 5,000th container with processed and conditioned low-level waste was disposed of at the National Radwaste Repository (NRR) in Mochovce. Along with other container it was transported from the nuclear facility for Liquid RAW Final Treatment.

There was a continuous positive trend in the field of Occupational Health & Safety and Fire Protection in 2023 in company JAVYS, a. s.
